Choosing wall art for your living room

ArtzFolio Journal · Last updated June 2026

Great living-room art comes down to three decisions: how big, where, and what theme.

Get the scale right

The most common mistake is art that’s too small. Over a sofa, your piece (or grouping) should span roughly two-thirds of the sofa’s width.

Placement

Hang so the centre of the piece sits about 145–150 cm from the floor. Above furniture, leave 15–25 cm between the furniture top and the bottom of the frame.

Theme & palette

Pull one or two colours from your room and choose art that echoes them. Browse our collections by theme to narrow down quickly.

Every piece is printed and framed to your exact size, with six frame finishes and single or double mat.

Design yours, made to your exact size.
